Gallery note:

Once upon a time, a young girl was told what she should want. Find a man, want a family, sacrifice, appease, acquiesce, respect, obey, smile.

So… she did. Until she couldn’t. Once she realized her anger was there to protect her all along, she lit the storybook of what her life was supposed to be on fire.

This series follows the nonlinear progression of a queer love story. While many stop at what seems to be Happily Ever After, that is not an option for many of us. We spend years learning to shed the skin that was never ours, only to discover what we were searching for was always within.
